Do you remember high school? I do.

I don’t remember every single second, obviously.

I do, however, remember the sting when girls who I thought would be my friends forever rejected me.

I remember being overwhelmingly annoyed at almost everything my parents said to me.

I remember the literal pain that radiated through my chest when my boyfriend broke up with me.

I remember how smug I felt when someone asked me to Junior Prom when I was only a freshman.

Most of all, I remember feeling so, so ready to just grow up already.

It was all so intense, and so very real.

High school never ends - it’s true. Personalities and behaviors rarely change. People will hurt you your whole life. But nothing compares to teenage frustration, disappointment, or heartbreak.

Each of my books is a love letter to the teens going through it all, and to those of us whose high school selves could use a big, understanding hug.

You’ll get through it. I hope one of my books helps a little bit.
